A picture of the dual camera setup we built for the beamtime at the EuXFEL. Images of liquid jets were projected on both the EuXFEL monitoring camera (top), and on our high-speed camera (left). Since liquid microjets carrying samples often have instabilities that affect their overlap with the X-ray beam, to discard bad data we need snapshot images of the jets for many individual X-ray laser pulses. Our high-speed camera allowed us to record images almost ten times faster, without affecting the default monitoring system.
